Our Values

Summit is a recognized leader in responsible energy project development. For US based projects, our goals are to develop new energy projects from domestic resources that enhance the nation’s security and competitiveness and reduce the environmental footprint of the energy industry in an economic and scalable manner. Outside the US, Summit develops projects which enhance the competiveness and reduce the environmental footprint of the host country. Summit has a long history of working in collaboration with environmental advocates and local communities to bring forward projects with their support that also meet the rigorous demands of the marketplace. We recognize the important ways in which energy influences our economy, our communities, and our environment and are working every day to advance the technologies that can bring new sources of energy forward that reduce our reliance on foreign imports, meet or exceed environmental requirements, and keep energy prices low.

While Summit often does reference plant projects that it develops with technology providers and then replicates, Summit is frequently called upon to complete or commence projects that are first of a kind or that others have not been able to complete. Summit is proud of its track record of completing projects, even very difficult ones. Summit is also known for making measured, thoroughly-researched investments in new technologies by agreeing to commercially develop projects based on these technologies.

Whether retained by a client to provide a scope of developer services or developing a project on its own account, Summit prides itself on finding the solution that best fits each client’s project needs. Summit has advanced skills in development, technology, and finance and can bring a variety of resources to a project to ensure success at a reasonable cost. Summit seeks to align its interests with the interests of all of the project stakeholders and to have its compensation depend on success. Meeting and exceeding project targets is Summit’s goal, even on the toughest projects.
